We are proud to announce another new signing to the Reprise Publishing roster – SFR
Over the last 7 years, SFR has built up a solid reputation as the “go to guy” for quality South African Bass Music. A testament to this is his extensive discography of 12” vinyl releases on international labels including the massive UK-based imprints, Trouble On Vinyl and Zombie Recordings.
In 2008, the signature SFR sound began to evolve and he took on the dance music behemoth that is Dubstep. He has since focused on developing a unique style within the genre by adding a unique South African influence to a heavy bass-led sound, with emphasis aimed squarely at the dance floor. This has proven successful and again saw SFR line up a string of vinyl releases on UK and US based labels including Guinea Pig, Grid Recordings, Hollow Point and W10 Recordings.
Last year saw SFR work closely with a few renowned South African artists including Jack Parow and Van Coke Kartel, amongst others. Heʼs the producer behind Jack Parowʼs smash hit “Byellville” and officially remixed Van Coke Kartelʼs single “Ondier Kom” off their “Skop, Skiet en Donder” album.
Aside from being a studio wunderkind, SFR has also made a name for himself in the world of performance. Heʼs played electrifying sets across South Africa and has toured Belgium, France, Germany, Sweden, Holland, Switzerland and the UK on numerous occasions since 2007.
Having just released a new single on N-typeʼs Wheel & Deal Records, things can only get bigger for this South African talent.
We are proud to announce a new label to the Reprise Publishing roster: Lifted Music

After subsequent releases and live shows, Lifted Music gained approval by artists & DJs Andy C, Friction, Noisia, Pendulum, TeeBee & Calyx. In 2008, Lifted Music carried out further promoting by touring across Russia, North America, and Europe.
2013 sees further releases from Spor, Neonlight, Memtrix and Mefjus.

Originating from the magnificent city of Tokyo, Heavy1 is quite simply one of Japan’s finest drum & bass exports.
Heavy1 caught the infectious bug for drum & bass back when he was 18, and it was at this point in his life that he started to ponder upon and produce his own music. Japan had a very limited scene at the time and so Heavy1 started searching for inspiration from further afield. He began importing records from UK stores such as Chemical and Redeye Records, and as his collection grew, so did his enthusiasm for his own tracks.
With his productions underway and looking forward to the next step, the natural progression was to start performing. It was at this stage that Heavy1 made the decision to start his own club night, NEON, based in Tokyo. From that point on he began to book artists that he felt he had the most connection with. Now six years later, NEON has gone from strength to strength, welcoming international artists such as Icicle, Lenzman, and Spectrasoul amongst others.
Heavy1’s more recent productions have certainly been turning heads of late, with releases over the past few years on labels such as Samurai Music, Avantgarde, Symptom Audio and Demand Records. Rotational play has come from the scenes top flight DJ’s such as DJ Bailey, London Elektricity , Loxy, DJ Marky, Spectrasoul, Icicle, Alix Perez and DJ Flight, to name a few, including airplay on BBC Radio1, BBC 1xtra and Rinse FM. Now stepping forward with a whole batch of new material signed for 2012 including his 12” or CD on Dust Audio, Nu Direction , Demand Records and his debut album about to drop on Rubik Records. Heavy1 in cultivating his new Tokyo forcused label ‘Yabai 84 Records ‘, which already includes the likes of Need For Mirrors , Fade and Himself , this man’s career is set to be very bright indeed!
